Privacy

Effective October 6, 2026.

OfficiateHockey.net stores your account email, a password hash, selected organizations, practice journal and subscription/payment identifiers. PayPal handles payment details; we do not receive your card number.

Cookies and logs

Essential session and security cookies support sign-in and form protection. Server access logs and temporary sign-in attempt records help operate and protect the service. No third-party analytics are installed, and there are no advertising or tracking cookies. Public pages show one banner ad, described under Advertising.

Advertising

Updated October 17, 2026. Public pages on this site (the home page, About, the sign-up guides, Resources including the simulator, Rule of the Week, Training and Contacts) show one banner ad from AdEngine (adengine.us), the small ad network run by WeldonPC, the company behind this site. The privacy page and the membership pages (plans, terms, digests, sign-in, account, practice journal and rink) show no ad. For now the ads are for WeldonPC's own services.

To show an ad, your browser loads a script from adengine.us, asks it for one banner, loads the banner image, and reports once that the page was viewed and once that the banner was shown. Like any website, adengine.us receives your IP address, your browser type and the address of this site with those requests. It never receives your account email, journal or anything else you store here.

AI and linked services

Approved resource extracts may be sent to OpenAI to prepare draft educational updates. Account details and private journals are not used by this aggregation process. When you launch a rink session, WeldonVR receives a pseudonymous learner identifier and your selected rule set, not your email or journal. Visits to WeldonVR and governing-body websites are governed by their respective policies.
